Sports and Education Annex

The newest addition to Cary Academy’s campus, the Sports and Education Annex (SEA) opened to faculty and students in August 2003.

The 31,500 square-foot SEA contains a gym with two regulation-size basketball courts, a wrestling room, training room and a student lounge. In addition, five new classrooms with multimedia capabilities house the Upper School Foreign Language Department.

The addition of this gym space allows for Middle and Upper School teams to practice sports at the same time. Approximately 90 percent of Cary Academy's 671 students participate in one or more sports.

Middle School sports games are played in the SEA, while Upper School sports still compete in the Sports and Fitness Center. The extra gym space gives Middle and Upper School athletes the space they need to train hard and excel, and contributes to the physical education and fitness of all students at Cary Academy.
