ABOUT CA - TECHNOLOGY

Technology at CATECHNOLOGY PLAYS A KEY role in communication and serves to augment the curriculum by integrating email, Internet research, webpage construction, and software usage as everyday components. State-of-the-art technology is incorporated into the overall curriculum to supplement classroom lectures and activities and to facilitate administrative tasks. Beginning in the fall of 2006, all Cary Academy students will be issued tablet computers and school will achieve true 1:1 computer to student ratio.

Whether students are creating biology websites, turning in an English paper through email, or using a search engine to find information about French authors, they use technology and other learning resources to effectively to augment their studies.

Since communication and involvement are valued in the educational process, we provide network and e-mail accounts to students, parents, faculty, and staff members. These accounts are your tickets to the network at Cary Academy. Your account is given to you as a user name and password. In an effort to keep our network secure, passwords are changed periodically. As a member of the Cary Academy community, you are expected to be responsible in your use of our network and technology resources. Please read the Acceptable Use Policy from the Cary Academy Student Handbook.
