| About CA - Welcome
SINCE ITS OPENING in 1997, Cary Academy has been committed to providing a
challenging curriculum that reflects the school's mission of discovery,
innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
As an independent, college-preparatory school, Cary Academy creates a
secure and nurturing environment for students in grades 6-12 to discover
new talents and interests and to develop academically, physically, and
emotionally.
By presenting a curriculum strongly grounded in the humanities and
integrated with a fully networked computer system, Cary Academy gives
students the opportunity to re-enact the Nixon impeachment hearings, learn
traditional African spirituals, and explore virtual worlds and famous
museum collections online.
Cary Academy remains committed to meeting the needs of each individual
student. Small class sizes allow for close student/faculty relationships.
Teachers strengthen relationships with students outside the classroom by
assuming roles as advisors, coaches, and mentors. With every student,
staff, faculty member, and parent having his or her own e-mail address and
network account, the Cary Academy family is never out of touch.
From the initial tentative steps on the first day of school to the
final graduation march, Cary Academy plays an integral part in developing
independence and shaping integrity in every student. With every personal
and academic achievement, Cary Academy students not only gain knowledge
and skills, but they build confidence, determination, and the will to
succeed.
