Cary Academy
Parent Teacher Administration Alliance (PTAA)

Welcome to a new and exciting year at Cary Academy! Thanks to all of you, we’re planning a year worthy of our innovative school!

The PTAA leadership continues to listen to its members and strives to improve the impact of its programs.

Thanks to all of you who took the survey last spring. The PTAA leadership has evaluated the results of the survey to prioritize its budget this year. We plan to review the PTAA bylaws and  scholarships process. As a PTAA, all of us will collaborate on and support the school-wide initiatives of CA Green, fighting hunger and promoting diversity. (To read more about this year’s Program of Work click here).

Visit the “What We Do” page to learn more about each of the PTAA’s committees. PTAA is all about you and the many talents you bring to the table. I encourage you to enjoy your PTAA’s offerings and get involved! Be a part of enhancing the CA experience!

Your PTAA President,

Manju Karkare

"Thanks to a PTAA Student Activity Enhancement Grant, 7th graders enjoyed an interactive introduction to solar energy. Using Einstein’s explanation of photoelectric effect and its application, small groups built toy-sized solar cars that included a gear box and solar module. Then, the students raced the cars on campus roadways, driving home lessons with practical applications."
