Lianne Gonsalves ('06) will give the student address at NCSU's graduation May 15.
Each semester, one NCSU student is selected to deliver a message on behalf of the entire graduating class, and this year that honor has befallen NCSU senior Lianne Gonsalves, a biological sciences and international studies double-major. In advance of the speech, an article on Gonsalves has been published on the NCSU Web site.
Gonsalves also has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship. She will use her Fulbright to teach English to high school students in Venezuela from October 2010-July 2011. The college will be lighting up the bell tower in her honor on a day to be determined.
