FACTS Online Student Billing

You’ve asked for it and we’ve listened…Online Student Billing has arrived! Beginning with the 2017-18 school year, student billing goes digital, providing our families the following benefits:

  • All of your invoices in one place-no more looking for that paper bill on your desk
  • One account, one balance-pay for all of your student accounts with one transaction
  • Set your account to pay by bank autodraft-no more late payments
  • Pay online using e-check or credit card-no more stamps

We will be using FACTS, a longtime partner of Cary Academy who currently handles our ten month payment plan. We strongly encourage you to read the Billing & Payment Changes below before creating your FACTS account. All families will need to sign up or renew their account by June 9, 2017.


Billing Changes

Can I view my financial information online?

Yes. By logging in to your FACTS account, you will be able to see all the activity occurring in your student’s financial account (charges, credits, payments, etc). You will also be able to make an online payment via credit card or automatic bank draft.

Will I receive notification that I have a payment due?

Yes. For tuition billing:

If you choose to receive an invoice: you will receive notification 20 days before the payment due date.

If you choose to have payment automatically withdrawn: you will receive notification 4 days before the payment due date.

For monthly incidental billing:

You will receive notification 10 days before the payment due date.

If I still have an outstanding balance from the 2016-17 school year, how will I pay it?

Any past due balances from the 2016-17 school year will continue to be processed by Cary Academy. You will receive a paper bill from Cary Academy every month until the past due balance is paid. Payments for these past due balances must be payable to and mailed directly to Cary Academy. Only new charges as of July 1, 2017 will be processed through FACTS.

Will I still receive paper bills?

No, your bills will be sent via email. When you create your FACTS account, however, you will have the option of selecting to receive a paper statement if that is your preference.

How can I change my tuition payment plan?

If you need to change the tuition payment plan that you selected when completing your enrollment contract, you need to complete an Enrollment Contract Amendment form and return the completed form to the CA Business Office. There is a $50 fee to change your payment plan after April 30, 2017.

How can I update my contact information (email address, mailing address, telephone number)?

You can update your contact information by signing in to your FACTS account and making the changes on the My Profile tab.

Payment Changes

How can I pay my bill?

Going forward, all payments will be payable directly to FACTS. Payments can be made online via credit card or bank draft by signing in to your FACTS account. For your convenience, both of those can be set up for automatic payment. Please note that a service fee will be assessed for payments made by credit card.

Can I still make a payment by check?

Yes. Make your check payable to FACTS Management Co and mail to:

On the memo line, note “Cary Academy” and your Customer Number to ensure proper processing. Also, please print the payment stub shown in your FACTS account and include it in the envelope with your check.

Please note that the Customer Number is not the same as your Veracross Student ID. After you create your FACTS account, your Customer Number can be found on the home tab next to your name.

If I currently use my bank’s bill pay system to make payments to CA, do I need to make any changes?

Yes. The check should now be payable to FACTS Management Co and mailed to:

In the memo or notes section, you must note “Cary Academy” and your Customer Number to ensure proper processing.

Wire transfers should continue to be sent directly to Cary Academy.

If I choose Payment Plan 3 (10 month autodraft) for tuition, do I also have to pay my monthly incidental bill via autodraft?

No. While autodraft is required if you select to pay tuition over ten months, you can choose another payment option for your monthly incidental billings. If, however, you want to have your incidental charges autodrafted, you can choose to do so.

When will monthly incidental billing payments be due?

Monthly incidental billing payment will be due by the 25th of the month.

If I choose to have monthly incidental billing payments automatically drafted, when will the funds be withdrawn?

Automatic payments for monthly incidental bills will be processed by FACTS on the 25th of the month.

When is my tuition payment due?

Payment Plan 1 (full payment):
If you choose to have your payment automatically processed by FACTS, it will be drafted on July 25, 2017.

If you choose to receive an invoice from FACTS, your payment will be due July 30, 2017.

Payment Plan 2 (60/40):
If you choose to have your payments automatically processed by FACTS, they will be drafted on July 25, 2017 and December 26, 2017.

If you choose to receive an invoice from FACTS, your payments will be due July 30, 2017 and December 30, 2017.

Payment Plan 3 (10 month autodraft plan):
Tuition and fees will be drafted on the 5th of the month, starting July 5, 2017 and ending April 5, 2018.
