The Center for Community Engagement’s (CCE) exciting collaboration with Duke University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Athena AI Institute for Edge Computing is in full swing! This cutting-edge workshop series gives students hands-on experience in Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology.

Guided by Dr. Tingjun Chen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and his team, participants are exploring IoT fundamentals while diving into sensor peripherals, cloud connectivity, embedded AI applications, and more. The energy and enthusiasm from our students have been palpable as they dive deeper into their passions alongside Duke’s experts. We’re eagerly anticipating more visits from Duke’s team–leading up to the grand finale at Duke University’s AI Day on May 6.
