German Day 2021

This year's North Carolina German Day Competition took place virtually, with a mix of live online events and prerecorded submissions. Hosted by local universities, German Day is organized by the NC chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). More than 30 Cary Academy Middle and Upper School German students took home awards from the competition. Way to go Chargers!

Ellie McMahon '21

Congratulations to Ellie McMahon ’21 for earning the Girl Scouts of America’s prestigious Gold Award for her work promoting childhood literacy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Gold Award is the highest accolade conferred by the Girl Scouts, awarded to fewer than seven percent of Girl Scouts whose work makes a sustainable change in their communities and around the world.
