Computer Science Week 2020

CA's Director of Technology and Innovation, Karen McKenzie, explains how—at CA—this collaborative worldwide call to promote computer science education broadly focusing on improving inclusivity and diversity has sparked a year-round effort towards crafting a brighter, more-equitable future. Spector Family Fund

This fall, the Spector Family Fund was created at Cary Academy. Established in memory of Grey Spector (‘16), and in honor of the entire Spector family’s impact on CA, the Spector Family Fund is a merit-based award that will be given annually to an Upper School student who exemplifies Grey’s spirit—his individuality and unwavering commitment to the pursuit of passions. The award supports the recipient’s tuition for a year. Students are encouraged to apply annually, and faculty members may also nominate students for recognition.

For so many reasons, I am continually impressed by CA students. Our students love being at school. Our students are not afraid to think critically, to challenge the process. They are great athletes and musicians. Exceptional innovators and bold, creative thinkers. Risk takers and global changemakers. The list goes on and on.
