Lindsay Wrege (’17) has accepted a Park Scholarship to North Carolina State University.
The Park Scholarships Class of 2021 – the 22nd class of Park Scholars – will comprise 39 scholars, selected from nearly 2,150 candidates from across North Carolina and the United States. The Selection Committee based its decisions on the candidates’ demonstrated accomplishments and potential in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character, as evidenced by their performance in interviews and assessments conducted by NC State faculty members and alumni.
Wrege has been awarded a four-year scholarship, currently valued at up to $107,000 for in-state students. The award covers tuition, fees, and room and board at NC State. As a Park Scholar, Wrege also will receive a generous stipend toward personal expenses and the purchase of a new computer. Park Scholars have access to enrichment grants to pursue research, service, or creative projects, and to alumni-funded travel grants for study abroad. In addition to these benefits, Park Scholars participate in retreats, field learning experiences, and civic engagement initiatives, as well as mentorships with some of NC State’s top faculty members.
With about 160 Park Scholars on campus and more than 800 alumni around the world, scholars are immediately connected to a supportive community of bright, service-minded leaders.
