Code of Conduct and Standard of Ethics
The successful operation and reputation of Cary Academy are built upon the principles of fair dealing and ethical conduct of its employees. Cary Academy wishes to uphold its reputation for integrity and excellence, which requires careful observance of the spirit and letter of all applicable laws and regulations, as well as a scrupulous regard for the highest standards of conduct, fiscal responsibility, and personal integrity.
The continued success of Cary Academy is dependent upon our students,’ and their family members’ trust and Cary Academy is dedicated to preserving that trust. Cary Academy expects that employees will act in a manner that will merit the continued trust and confidence of the public, and our students and their family members. The School expects all employees will uphold the values and intent put forth in the School’s Cornerstone statements.
Cary Academy will comply with all applicable laws and regulations and expects its Board members and employees to conduct business in accordance with the letter, spirit and intent of all relevant laws and to refrain from any illegal, dishonest or unethical conduct.
In general, the use of good judgment, based on high ethical principles, will guide employees in determining what is acceptable conduct. If a situation arises with respect to which it is difficult for an employee to determine the proper course of action, the employee should consult the Head of School.
