Tutoring and Private Lessons

Cary Academy believes that there is a significant conflict of interest when employees provide tutoring or other private lessons for charge to any Cary Academy student during the academic year and because of this, you are not permitted to do so, either on or off campus.  You may, however, provide tutoring or private lessons for compensation during the summer break, either on or off campus.

If you wish to use campus facilities to provide tutoring or private lessons, you must work through Campus Operations to reserve space.  You may use campus facilities at no charge when tutoring or providing lessons to current Cary Academy students or employees.  When tutoring or providing lessons to any other students, non-profit rental rates and standard facility rental policies will apply.  You may use Cary Academy equipment for tutoring or lessons but may not use the School’s consumable supplies.
