Strategic Vision

It is our vision that serves as a collective compass as we forge forward to realize the dream our founders had for our school.  Because of the evolving nature of Cary Academy, the vision is the one cornerstone that changes over time to meet the needs and hopes of the school as we continue to explore what learning is at its best.  It is usually evaluated and refreshed (if needed) every five years in conjunction with the development of a new strategic plan. Here is our current vision: 

Cary Academy will create personalized learning opportunities that are flexible and relevant in an environment that supports student wellbeing. 

The vision serves as the basis for establishing our strategic plan, which generally covers a four- to five-year span.  The plan manifests itself in the form of a number of key goals that we work together to achieve.  For the most current strategic plan, spanning 2021 to 2025, those strategic goals are:

Goal 1: Authentic Engagement

Cary Academy will foster the intellectual and cultural elasticity needed to adapt and thrive in a global and multicultural world. 

Goal 2: Institutional Flexibility 

Cary Academy will create institutional flexibility to facilitate innovative and dynamic learning experiences. 

Goal 3: Strong Connections 

Cary Academy will strengthen existing relationships and build new connections to embrace multiple backgrounds, perspectives and opportunities across all constituencies.

Goal 4:  Appropriate Resources 

Cary Academy will build the professional and learning environments necessary to realize our strategic vision.
