Gifts to Employees
Accepting gifts from others can create a conflict of interest for an employee and could adversely influence judgment, objectivity, or relationships with individuals inside and outside the CA community. For this reason, the school has guidelines to allow for reasonable gifting.
Gifts from Vendors
Employees should not accept personal gifts from vendors, especially those who make purchasing decisions. Accepted gifts should have nominal value, be shared among division members, or be forwarded to the Head of School’s Office for distribution to employees.
Guidelines for Student and Family Gifts to Employees
Children and families often wish to give employees gifts at holidays and/or at the end of the year. Employees are expected to understand and abide by the policies for children and families listed in the Student and Family Handbook.
